What would we do without it? Like all over the UK the growth in these small selected breweries is continually growing in Wales, we have selected some of our favourites to share with you. Probably due to our Irish cousins just across the water Cider is becoming more and more popular for all of us and due to this increased popularity, small independent brewers are popping up all over Wales. We have selected a few for you to try, once tried we think you may move away from those big Irish brands.

Like the other Celtic nations, Wales has a long history of spirit distillation. It may even have started as far back as the 4th century AD, when a man known as Reaullt Hir was allegedly distilling on Bardsey Island off the north Wales coast. Although Wales may not have the variety that Scotland has, we are still proud of what we have to offer in terms of Welsh Whisky, Welsh Gin, Welsh Vodka and of course the odd liqueur. Take a look at what we have to offer from the unusual Welsh Mead to the more traditional whiskys, you will not be disappointed.
